About the species

Identification

An upright, mostly annual plant 10–60 cm tall. It starts with a flat circle of deeply lobed leaves with rounded lobes; these wither once the stem grows. The stem branches above. Stem leaves are also lobed and clearly toothed, and they wrap around the stem with small ear-like lobes at the base. Tiny pale yellow, four-petalled flowers sit in leafless clusters at the shoot tips. After flowering, many narrow, slightly curved, plump pods on slender stalks stick out. Tell it from similar yellow-cresses by the very small petals and the round, not flat, pods. Flowers in Finland from June to August.
