About the species

Identification

A medium-sized, branching plant 30–60 cm tall with an upright, slightly angled stem. Lower leaves are deeply split into several pairs with a large rounded end part; upper leaves are mostly not divided and coarsely toothed. Flowers form tight clusters; each small flower has four bright yellow petals. Later it carries slim, slightly curved seed pods about 1.5–2.5 cm long that spread out from the stem. Told from similar yellow wintercresses by the big end lobe on the lower leaves and the outward-pointing pods. Flowers in Finland in May–June.
